“Pretty Woman” movie director Garry Marshall passed away

Another sad news comes from Hollywood. On Tuesday, July 19, the director of legendary movie “Pretty Woman”, Garry Marshall passed away. The filmmaker reportedly died in a hospital in Bubank, California at 5 PM.

As cited from Aceshowbiz, the cause of his death were complications from pneumonia after suffering a stroke and he died at the age of 81.

Marshall is known for great sitcoms and movies he had directed including Mork and Mindy, Happy Days, The Odd Couple, Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day which is his last movie released on April 2016.

The moviemaker who has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame also received some awards including the Valentine Davies Award (1995), Women in Film Lucy Award (1996), and Laurel Award for TV Writing Achievement (2014).
