Lake of Saif ul Muluk
Pakistan has many treasures of natural beauty. Light green in spring, green in summer, red and golden in autumn and white in winter, all these important colors of year can only be found in North of Pakistan, these are located in the bed of Hindu-kush and Himalayas mountain. The major gift by God which I discovered in my travels to these parts are the true beauty of these places. The place which really tried me to reach was the Frozen Lake of “Saif ul Muluk”. “Saif ul Muluk” is a mountain in Kaghan Naran valley. In the bed of this mount a beautiful lake has been found, no one knows when, is really inviting everyone in every place of the world to come and visit this precious beauty. A worth-seeing view stunning look like a beautiful bride ready to wed.
It is consider as one of the highest Lake in Pakistan at the elevation of 10,578 ft. The lake is accessible from the nearby town of Naran throughout the summer season.
Some says Saiful Muluk was formed by glacial moraines that blocked the water of the stream passing through the valley. The Kaghan Valley is said to covered about 300,000 years back in snow, as found rocks revels traces back to the same dates approximately. The rise in temperature melt these huge glaciers and found this beautiful valley. Melting water collected into the lake give birth to Saif ul Muluk lake.
But an another story is also very popular about this lake that is , “A fairy tale called Saiful Muluk, written by the Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, talks of the lake. It tells the story of the prince of Persia who fell in love with a fairy princess at the lake. A poet and writer, Ahmed Hussain Mujahid, wrote the story of Saiful Muluk in prose depicting the local version. There is also a cave at the lake, with glistening pebbles and flowing water. The cave was the hiding place of Prince Saif and the fairy Badr when the giant was trying to find them. Locals say that due to a miracle the giant turned into a statue while searching for them. This is because, torches and mobile phones not working in the cave is still a mystery.”
Above all these tales, I concluded just once visit this place and than see its magic.
