Amber Rose defends Kanye West and said he didn’t mean to interrupt Taylor Swift’s 2009 speech

“It was just a very hard time for him,”

Finally, someone gives us a clue on what was actually going on when Kanye West infamously interrupted Taylor Swift’s speech in MTV Video Music Awards back in 2009.

“I want to talk about Kim and Kanye’s Snapchat.” Amber Rose said during her The Amber Rose Show on Friday, July 22. “So I’m not the biggest fan of Kanye… But I was next to him at the VMAs that year. I remember the repercussions after that.”

She the recounted when Taylor’s parents came to them and they said to the rapper, “One day Kanye, you’ll have a daughter and somebody is going to do that to you.”

Amber Rose then explained that the father of two were so ‘remorseful’. “I mean he really felt so bad, because it wasn’t about Taylor. It was about Beyonce and her video… He didn’t want to interrupt Taylor – he didn’t even know who she was at the time.”

“It was just a very hard time for him, and I was around to see that.” she revealed. “I watched people say that they did not want to work with him anymore because of it.”
